Why should I use a Frame?
There are several good reasons:
Better Technique - Allows you to keep a hand free for using your Laying Tool, particularly important when using Decorative Stitches. Also, when doing Turkey Work with a Punch Embroidery Needle, the ground fabric needs to be taut.
Comfort and Speed - Minimizes problems associated with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Arthritis. Also, being able to use both hands (your dominant hand under the work and your other hand
on top of your stitching) is a much more efficient stitching style.
Cleaner Work - Minimizes the handling of your work, thus keeping the fabric clean and the threads
more secure.
Easier Finishing - Minimizes distortion, thus making blocking easier or even unnecessary.
